This is your brain on Spaiku.

Here are a few "Doomed" haiku. I'm not sure if I'm on a Season Four Roll or in a Season Four Rut, but hey, that's just the bag I'm in right now. I blame the Hawaiian Shirt Spike doll. (And the drugs. Which, thank heavens, I'm enjoying more needing less with every passing day.)
Thanks to Mister Beta for his help.

*snort* Xanderrr's. Poor Spike had to play the fashion disaster and was not happy. It's black all the way for him.

omg! That little speech he gives them about puppies and christmas and fighting evil cracks me up everytime. Especially the vacant stare-point by Xander.

Thanks for these. They made me giggle!

Thank you for reading. Giggles are my ultimate goal!

My daughter's been reciting the puppies n' christmas speech on a loop, so that one wrote itself in about three seconds.

Xander's point is my favorite as well; he looks so cheated!

I bet Z-girl is adorable when she does it. How cute that you've made a Buffy fan out of her!

Psst, go leave my friend f/b on his dirty Spuffy art over at my LJ. He was so excited to see that people actually looked.

*whispers* I'm there! I just gotta' wait for these people to go to lunch.

My favorite is when she says, "I can hurt a demon!" She captures the dawning realization very well. *lol*

Bwaa-haa-haa! Love these, but particularly #3. Always impressed that you can tell a story in only a few syllables!

Yes, he was sooo happy when he found out he could hit demons! As always, these are great but this one is especially wonderful.

Thank you! I had trouble with that one, and I was ridiculously happy when it finally clicked. Glad it came across. :)

Last night, I almost asked if you had any new Spaiku lurking about, but I didn't want to seem pushy. And then, lo and behold! it appears.

You nailed the Xander thing. And "clown college castoffs" I love. Alliterative and perfectly descriptive. *bows to you*

Bloody animal:
a surge of barbarous joy

Barbarous is such a good word. And then bloody surge roars. Excellent.

This is my favorite Spike scene ever. Poor Spike. But "motivational vampire" is great. Now up there with "pickled vampire" for me. Goggle - a word that should be used more often.

These were fun! And educational! :D

*curtsies back*

Well, you know how important edutainment is to me!

Wow, I didn't know they were "cornichon" good. That's some high praise indeed. I'm so pleased that you like them. I was stupidly excited when that middle one finally worked. "Barbarous" was definitely the key.

[Sidebar: M. Ubu loves Xander's feeble little point-to-the-TV protest so much that we usually have to rewind about five times every time we watch "Doomed."]

I'm pretty sure "motivational vampire" came out of our giggling over the Tony Robbins scene a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks for your feedback; it never fails to cheer me. Feel free to be pushy--sometimes the Spaiku machine just needs a little nudge.

He's right. That's the best part. :D

And yes, that was "cornichon" good. But they always are! Are you going all the way up to Season 7? I'm gonna have to find myself a whole new bunch of superlatives between now and then. Edutainment is right!

You want pushy? You CAN'T handle pushy! *snickers*

Bwahahaa! I lurrrve your icon! We were actually asked to leave the theatre when we saw A Few Good Men b/c M. Mere got tickled by the histrionics in that very scene, started giggling helplessly and simply could not get it back together. (Also, we were once nearly ejected from the audience at a performance of Jesus Christ Superstar, but that's another story for another time.) I think I can (at the very least) handle pushy better than he can.

Oh yeah, I'll definitely go to Season 7. When I first started writing them they were all jumbled up, season-wise, but I've kind of gotten stuck in Season 4. I can't get out!

Now I've got the words to "I Don't Know How To Love Him" stuck in my head. Thanks a lot.

I'm happy to read whatever season inspires you. We'll all still be here. Jump around! Have fun! Spaiku forever! (I think I need dinner, 'cause I'm sounding way too up.)

Here...have some of my earworm, lady. *cackles*
Should I bring him down?
Should I scream and shout?
Should I speak of love,
Let my feelings out?
I never thought I'd come to this.
What's it all about?

So profound. So very profound.

Hee! I was powerless to resist. Now tell me to go to bed early.

My secret shame is that I always wanted to see a Spike/Giles vid set to IDKHTLM (acronym alert!) The Sarah Brightman version. From when Spike is forced to stay with Giles.

I never thought I'd come to this.
Don't you think it's rather funny. I should be in this position.
And I've had so many men before, in very many ways. He's just one more.

This is my confession. Be gentle with me.

*dies*

I can just see the longing glances and bitter recriminations. The many shots of Spike chained in the bathtub and lashed to chairs. I think a little Giles-in-a-sombrero action could probably fit in there somewhere too.

I think this may have take priority over the sherbet campaign. Now, if only we had video-editing skills. . .

Go to bed early, philips.

Done! Except it's kind of late now. Oops.

Go to bed before it gets any later, philips.

Sleep well.

You are so good at capturing those memory flashes.

Love #2 'barbarous joy'in an Hawaiian shirt.

Do you create haiku for anything else? Or is Spike your only muse?

Thank you, Louise! I had fun with these. I think #2's my favorite, too. Shhh. ;)

Nope, Spike gives me my only outlet for creative writing; I guess he just brings out the bloody awful poet in me.
