Belated birthday greetings!

Yesterday was missmurchison's birthday! I was out of pocket but sincerely hope that it was a good one. As a token of my undying gratitude for both her very fine fic and for inspiring me to write in the first place (shout out to haiku master Mr. M!), I wanted to do a sweet, romantic birthday photo shoot with doll!Spike and doll!Buffy.

Towards that end, I got them out at bedtime last night and asked them to brainstorm tableau ideas while I slept. I woke up in the pre-dawn hours and checked in to see what they'd come up with, only to find them in a domestic situation that I imagine is all too common in these modern times.

*sigh* By the time I got up for the day, Spike was asleep, and Buffy was awake and disgusted enough with his growing internet addiction to declare that she had no intention of delivering anything like camera-friendly smoochies today. I tried to offer comfort by assuring her that at least he was reading quality fic, but she was less than appreciative. *whispers* It may be time for me to invest in a doll-sized punching bag; a Slayer's patience is not boundless, and she hits hard.

Thanks heavens I had a little somethin' somethin' saved up for a rainy day . . .

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MISS MURCHISON!! *hugs* I hope you had a wonderful day, and I wish you a calm year with much less dramatic weather and lots of time to write. :D

Is the wee creature on the bed Spike's bedtime snack...

Heee! That's terrible. But I think it must be an on-going concern in their household, because you can see that Buffy's already taken the preventative measure of giving him a pig's blood nightcap. ;)

These are always fun (you need even more birthdays to celebrate IMO) but trying to picture Spike's reaction to the Barbie-pink desk made me actually aspirate my soup. Hee!

And they have a kitty tying to convince them she needs to sleep on the bed-- nice touch!

September nearly killed me. So many birthdays! I guess we know what a lot of people give each other for Christmas, huh? ;)

I was so mad that I couldn't find the tiny Fisher-Price laptop that came with the dollhouse furniture; I wanted him to be sitting on the sofa surfing, but no luck. I'm glad that the desk seemed to work. Don't choke though, okay?

Petzi asked if that was Spike's bedtime snack. *lol* Terrible!

It's not a birthday without the penis tequila, I always say.

Hee! Thank goodness for the funny. :)
It may be the angle, but Buffy's bosoms are scaring me.

Will that bottle ever get old? I think not.

eta: Sorry. I meant to choose Marlene and I got Marcello. Marcello is so full of ennui. Which is the opposite of what I felt as I read this. Cheer up, emo Marcello.

Re: Hee! Thank goodness for the funny. :)
It ain't the angle. And frankly, her arms are freaking me out. When I was putting them on her today, I was like, "Come look! Buffy's got Man Hands!" (Of course, Smidge kinda does too, so maybe they were trying to heighten the action figure's authenticity. Have you noticed how they hardly ever do close-ups of Buffy's hands?) That still doesn't explain the biceps, though.

Hee! I love Marlene and Marcello, but I'm glad to hear that you're not full of Marcello-esque levels of ennui.

I'm quite sure that they will do the sweet and romantic anytime you don't want them to.

I'll bet you're right; they're probably snogging in their storage case right now!

ETA that your own greeting for Miss M (as well as the others you've done this weekend) are fabulous. I so enjoy your art. :)

Barbie Dream Internet Porn Terminal

HAHAHA!! It's Fisher-Price dollhouse furniture, but I recall Z. being very wary of the intense pinkness when we bought it. Everything seems to have gotten more Barbie-riffic lately. I'm just sick that I lost the little lime green laptop that came with the desk!

Sidebar: we started buying her LOTR figures off of eBay when we realized that all she ever did with the dollhouse was open it out and use the doll family to fight the battle of Helm's Deep.

Hee. These are so much fun, every single time. I love the Barbie computer desk. What a cute and hilarious domestic tableau. You have your very own Spuffy 'verse!

Thank you! I certainly have fun making them. (Probably a little too much fun! I should probably be cleaning something instead.) philips says that some day the dolls will rise up against me and I'll wake up with a tiny plastic arm jammed up my nose, but I plan to enjoy it while I can. :D

So you take off Buffy's arms, too? Woman, do you spare no one?

They're supposed to come off--I swear!

Heh. Even I was kinda horrified when I got Graduation Day Buffy and saw her little pair of spare arms displayed in the packaging like one more accessory.

I just knew you wouldn't forget the infamous bottle of tequila in the background. :D
Those are lovely wishes!
I had margarita on Saturday evening but I don't think it's my friend anymore.. Sunday was difficult. ;-)

Thank you for the fun, dear.:)

Thank you! I meant to return my daughter's doll house furniture to her room before she caught me, but she wandered in afterwards an decided to play at the Spuffy corner (hee!) for a while, too. :)

Oh, thank you! I've been sitting here laughing at this. I'm sorry I didn't catch it until just now.

On second thought, I'm not. It extended the birthday glow. Thanks, again.
