Spaiku, part deux.

A few more "Lovers Walk" haiku. (Previous batch here.) Happy Friday to all!

Little marshmallows,
empathy for a devil.
Always did love mums.

Slayer and Forehead?
They don't know the half of it:
can never be friends.

Almost pities them--
they're living a lie; he's just

Hauls ass out of town,
chaos in his gleeful wake. . .
he did it hiiiis waaaaaayy!!

"chaos in his gleeful wake"

Lyrical wonderfulness. And four just says it all. Yay for Spaiku!

Yay for you! Thanks for reading. :)

Wonderful. Yay, Spike! :)

Thank you very much!

"The Dusterswirl" makes me smile. :D

terrific! They're living a lie - he's just intoxicated. Reminds me of The Proper Slayer at this point also...

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed them.

I had a couple of versions of No. VI. Beta Bob (I've flatly refused his request to call him Mister Beta, 'cause that's gross) and I spent a stupid amount of time arguing until I won debating over whether "intoxicated" or "inebriated" was the better word choice.

The Proper Slayer is killing me right now. (Not that I'm complaining--I heart teh angst.) I want Spike & Joyce to hit the road in the DeSoto and STOP THE INSANITY. There. Now I will bide my time and behave.

Yeah, here's hoping for a Spoyce road trip...

Re: Chortles
I think Joyce should drive and put Spike in charge of the map. Also, there would be an understanding that neither would be wholly in control of the radio dial. I predict that hi-larious hijinks would ensue. :D

Re: Chortles
And how would they decide where to stay? 'Oh no, Spike, that's so ugly - I have never been able to accept puce as an exterior paint colour. And it has no pool. What about that one?' 'No deal Joyce, no smokin' in all rooms. What're they thinkin'?' But they could share the driving. And they both enjoy a good meal and good conversation, if they're not so worried about Buffy that they can't stop. They should be worried! They should be rushing to stop this proposed disastrous starter marriage....

Re: Chortles
*sniggers at the showdown over puce paint and smoking privileges*

Oh, you're right of course. We can't let them get too cozy or they'll never get there in time!

Yes, he certainly did. These are such fun.

Thanks again--I'm so glad you're enjoying them. I feel v. lucky to live in a world with nice people who will actually read haiku about the exploits of a television vampire, 'cause I really don't think I could stop writing them this point. :)

That's great; you've really captured the feeling of the episode! I like them all, but particularly #3!
Mar. 1st, 2008 04:32 am (UTC)
Aw, thanks. I adore that episode--I so admire Spike's ability to maintain his drunkenness throughout. (Why, it's almost a Shane McGowan-level of stamina.) He staggers through every scene, screws things up royally for everybody else, and then just flies away, lalala. Love it!

Perfect. Loving all of them.

Special: they're living a lie; he's just
So aware.

Thank you! One of my favorite things (besides, um, the obvious) about Spike is the way that he Knows Stuff about everybody else.
