I had monster insomnia yesterday morning from about 4 a.m. onward but couldn't bring myself to get out of bed. My thoughts eventually drifted toward all the mighty fine fic that I've read on LJ, and I thought, "I'm just never going to write anything. I just wanna' lurk and read. Yep, the lurking is where it's at." I couldn't imagine what it might take to make me actually write something. Much later, a lovely little haiku that missmurchison's significant other wrote in Spike's voice floated through my brain and snagged on something.

Well.  Even drabble seems a little intimidating to me, but I'm all over that haiku. By the time I finally got up, I had composed seven and hurried to the bathroom to scribble them down by nightlight.  Haiku of Spike.  Spaiku, if you will.   (If you, like me, must.  It's totally addictive!  Ask st_salieri.)

So, here are a couple of my first, teensy little pieces of fanfic ever:

wakes, hard, from a dream
hot spurts, gouts of gorgeous red. . .
there's blood in the fridge

compare and contrast:
pig's blood and a wank
I'm still learning to speak this crazy LJ moon language, so please do let me know if there are any technical glitches.

Love the new word - spaiku!

Inventive and astute verse.

Hey, thanks! I have to admit, haiku Spike does seem to be kind of a saddo. :)
